Balancing Act

"It's one small step for EBC and one giant leap for the performance caliper market." That's how the guys at EBC describe the new Apollo balanced brakes kits. Unlike conventional big brake upgrades, Apollo kits gives you all the hardware you need to upgrade both ends of your Griffin, resulting in a truly balanced performance package. The EBC Brakes philosophy is simple: more hardware equals more performance. 

Each kit is customer engineered and tested for individual vehicle, thus ensuring full ABS function is retained along with an optimal front/rear brake balance. Multiple two-piece disc sizes are available (currently 300x28mm through to 380mmx 32mm), and each kit is sold with stainless braided hoses, Yellowstuff pads, DOT 4 fluid, lightweight aluminium calipers (complete with a choice of dust seals) and fitting hardware that includes areospace-grade aluminim brackets, plus all the necessary bolts, wasgers, nuts and spacers. Reassuringly, each caliper i hard and anodised and then covered in high performance Teflon polyester topcoat to reduce heat transfer to hydraulics. This is an incredibly well-priced and enhanced brake kit, and one that is available to suit a wide range of Vauxhalls.
